The Seattle Sound Music Awards Family Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Seattle's Black/IPOC artists and culture creators through our annual awards platform, which celebrates the achievements of our artists and community contributors.
OUR WHY
Our mission is to empower Seattle's Black/IPOC youth and creative community by offering assistance in career development, basic living needs, emergency resources, and support for commissary and bail funds for our young adults aged 18 to 24.
By 2035, we aspire to become a beacon of support for our community, akin to the prestigious Grammys and MusiCares, and a reliable resource for all who seek our assistance.
We provide a safe space for Black/IPOC individuals to be themselves, recognizing, celebrating, and honoring our youth, artists, musicians, creatives, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. We are committed to empowering our community by offering support with rent, utilities, food, clothing, internet, gas/bus stipends, and assisting young adults who are unable to afford bail and commissary opportunities.
Our focus is on housing stability, addressing food insecurity, and bridging the digital divide, understanding that no one can thrive creatively when they are unhoused, hungry, disconnected, and facing financial hardships.
This holiday season, we ask that you choose The Seattle Sound Music Awards Family Foundation for your charitable donations. Both monetary and in-kind gifts are welcome. Your generosity will make an immediate impact, serving our community through 2025.
WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU!
Thank YOU in advance for your support!
